The aim of the project was to convey a series of ideas and concepts to the audience, involving the viewer in the creation of a visual poetry, in which the use of random video clips and their de-synchronised sound is creating something that is never the same but that belongs just to the individual as the performer.
To produce this work, I found a shopping list in a book which I borrowed from the local library. I then filmed myself and a friend whilst reading the items from the list and divided the film into nine clips. I then imported these into Adobe Flash which creates the frame for the work. By using some features in the program, I was able to make the clips appear depending on where the viewer is positioned in front of the webcamera. Because more than one video clip appears at the same time, the viewer becomes an integral part of the work thus creating a poetical conversation, that is unique.
